Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2, 2026

1. Who we are

qodebase (“we”, “us”) operates the website at qodebase.dev and related services (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you use the Service.

2. Information we collect

Account information: email address, display name, and OAuth profile data (Google or GitHub) when you sign up. Learning progress: sub-unit completion status and checkpoint progress stored in your account. Payment information: processed by Stripe; we store subscription status and Stripe customer IDs, not full card numbers. Comments: text you post in sub-unit discussions. Contact form: name, email, and message content. Usage data: anonymized analytics via Vercel Analytics (page views, no personal profiling).

3. How we use information

We use your information to provide and improve the Service: authenticate you, sync progress across devices, enforce subscription access, deliver transactional emails (verification, contact replies), process payments, and respond to support requests. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Third-party services

We use trusted processors: Supabase (auth and database), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Vercel (hosting and analytics), and Google / GitHub (OAuth sign-in). Each has its own privacy policy governing data they process on our behalf.

5. Data retention

We retain account and progress data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize associated data within 30 days, except where law requires longer retention (e.g. billing records).

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights. EU/UK users may lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication sessions (Supabase). Vercel Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies for aggregated usage statistics. We do not use advertising cookies.

8. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.

10. Contact

Privacy questions: hello@qodebase.dev or the contact form.
